On Friday night the two families we went to Myrtle Beach with came over for Pizza anthen justine and I went to a concert she had tickets for. It was her favourite band, Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry and papa Roach. I think I was the only one sitting, it was kinda hard core metal. And a bit scary so i sat there listening to my ipod then fell asleep!

On Saturday we had Matthews harry Potter birthday. i was the Professor for divinations, and the kids made crystal balls with a bunch of stuff including oil and water, we later found out one kid blew up his microwave by putting his crystal ball in there and the oil exploded. Whoops!

Saturday night we went to indiana and hung with Chloe, Chris and Kyle. We played Wii and I discovered im the man at bowling! haha. Then we stayed at Chloes house and in the morning got the train downtown and met up with Julie and the kids, it was julies birthday and we went to a muesum which was really cool, we saw the rocket that neil armstrong landed on the moon and the apollo something that they almost died in coz it broke or something. then we had a dinner for julie and cake that night, I gave her and john flight of the conchord tickets for when they come in April.

Monday Justine came to class with me, we saw some cyber thriller maybe called echnoch something? or maybe its not called that. then a bunch of us went to dennys and hung out.

Tuesday was not a good day. Tuesday night I went and saw taken with Khalad from school, Plaa and Justine then we went to khalads friends ians house and watched step brothers, it was so funny. at the movie theater i was in the bathrooms and went into one stall but it didnt lock so i went to walk out and the door hit me in the face, that was funny, THEN i try to walk out again and the door swung back and somehow i jam my head in between the stall door and wall, i know have a lump in the shape of aline on my forehead and a bruise, that was hilarious. it hurt a lot though.

and today is wednesday and im sick! Julie thinks I have the flu. and now Justine is sick and khalad isnt feeling good. hahaha my bad!

Then I went to matthews clas son Friday and I was the ‘Mystery reader’. I read Hairy Mclairy and Mrs Windyflax and the Punga People. They loved the books and I took them Tim Tams and talked about NZ a bit.

Then Friday night I went to my friend Nicks house and hung their then Jim picked me up and on Saturday I worked but Chloe came over and we hung out and she stayed the night.

Sunday we went to Church in the morning then hung out, then Church at night. After Church Pastor Kent and Alli had planned a suprise party for me coz I am almost done with Au Pairing (one more week) then we went and ate at this place called Portillos. its so good. They put chocolate cake in their shakes and theyre amazing! Then we went to ‘The Melting Pot’ which is a Fondu resturant. It was yum as, we had turtle and Smore fondu

Monday for school we saw ‘the Curious case of benjamin Button’ it was a really good movie, lately we have also seen ‘Coraline, in 3d’ ‘The Reader’ ‘Doubt’ and in class we watched ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ coz my teacher has good connections and got the DVD.

I also packed up my room and I move out today coz Justine, the new Au pair arrives tomorrow!

Chloe stayed lat night, and we went and saw ‘He’s just not that into you’ it was SUCH a good movie! I loved it. People actually clapped at the end too.

And on Monday I saw I.O.U.S.A for school, its a doco about how America is 12 trillion dollars in debt.

Terrible!

Tonight I went to church and then after I walked to the train, and I had an hour to wait and was sitting there and this guy goes to me, can you watch my stuff while i go have a smoke, but theres a bomb in this bag. the bag he ment was a black garbage bag, then he did this weird laugh and ran off and came back a few mins later and asked if it went off. I was like what the heck and told my friend Dan and he told me to tell the cops even if he might of been joking. So i got off the train and went and found the cops and then they had me go find this guy, they took him off the train and searched him and then phoned me and said he had been ARRESTED!!!!! whaaaaat!!! so I dont know what happened but i  was told that theylll be in touch if they need me in court!!!!!

it was scarier than watching the scream movies all alone at 2am when your 14 years old.

I just wrote this on my Bebo but Im writing it here to.

I herd something on the radio today which got me thinking. They were talking about this lady who has Cancer. Its sad. Im not arguing that, what theyre talking about is also sad, the things she wants to acomplish in her last month.

It got me thinking. Why do we choose not to finally live until its time to die? Think about it, if you were told you had a month to live you would go out and do all the crazy things you wish you’d done, you’d call that person you never talk to, eat the foods you never eat and live the way you wish you’d lived. why dont we just live each day as if its our last? have fun in life, dont hold grudges, forgive and forget. life is to short!

I think I take each day as it comes and from being in America, away by myself for a year I have changed a lot. I take basically every opportunity I can. I realise somethings I should say no to and save my money but really what if I dont get that chance again, even things like going to the movies with friends, hanging out late instead of sleeping. My friend Giuliano (he is Italian) just found out today his friend died last night. Gules was with him last night! Before he died and had no idea yah know, nobody knows when stuff like this will happen. The guy I wrote about who had a heart attack and died a couple of weeks ago, John and Katie had just spent the weekend with him. We dont get warning of stuff like this. Everyone has a time and God is the only one who knows when that time is.

I want my life to be happy and I want to do everything I want to do before it ends. I dont know when it will end and neither do you but Id like to think I would of acomplised a lot by the end of it.

Another thing. Laugh each day!!! I laugh. ALOT!!! I laugh at anything, I got yelled at for laughing two weeks ago. Funny story. I was at the bank and going to buy some NZ dollars. Now you cant get them at my bank but I had to go to the ‘sister’ bank in the next town, no biggie,

So i asked the lady how do you get there and she responds,

ok so do you know where 47th is,
yes i do,
take 47th down past two stop signs and do you know where the corner bakery is,
no i dont know where that is i know where block buster is, (im laughing already at this stage but dont know why)
well we dont need to know where blockbuster is do we! (shes angry at my laughing)

I went to Wisconsin this weekend with friends from the salvation Army Church, it was a youth thing and we went up friday and came back Saturday night. It was cool, met lots of interesting people and ate some cheese since I was in Wisconsin and all.

Its been real wam for 3 days now. today is 12 degrees!!! yay!

Its valentines day this week., im still on the hunt for a date! hahaha not really.

but actually yeah i am.

Ok sad story coming, Katie is in this group called Indian princesses, its for girls and their Dads, Matthews in Indian Guides, for Boys and their Dads. Anyway there was an Indian Princess camp out last weekend and then on Monday night, one of the Dads who was there, he has 3 girls had a heart attack and died so his funeral was today. So we are hosting the thing after for families in Indian Princesses and there are at least 9 families coming all with two-three kids whom im watching. its going to be crazy!

But so anyway i had 5 kids while the funeral was happening and it was across the street so it was pretty sad to know a dad was about to be burried who was only 43, super healthy and left behind 3 kids

on a good note I saw seabird and house of heroes concert last night. it was awesome. both bands are great, seabird is amazing, my favourite band and chris is really good drummer for the band.

I heart my school too.

its fun as.

Its due 15th April. So I think ill just skip the country.

I think im loosing my memory! hah.

I just always forget what ive done when it comes time to blog.

Friday night I was supose to go to naperville to watch seabirf and fiction family. Just for an update seabird is the band Chris is the trial drummer for and fiction family is a band Jon Foreman from switchfoot is in for a hobby, I think for a hobby anyway. I dont know yhat for a fact but thats the conclusion Chloe and I came to. Anyway the train was 45 minutes delayed do if I went I would basically miss seabird. Which was all I cared about. So I went home.

Saturday I picked up Dan and his sister, Dan is from the Salvation Army church which I have been to a few times, but hes a top notch guy. And we caught the train downtown, set his sister off on another train to go home to Indiana and met up with Gen. We ate, went and saw Chris at Guitar Center and then said goodbye to Gen who went back to NZ today and then came back to my house and hung out. I was supose to work that night but the kids went to Grandmas instead for two nights. So we hung out, ate taco bell. I LOVE taco bell by the way. Think im almost addicted. And then I took him to the train so he could go home.

Sunday I went to church at the Salvation Army in the morning, and the guy from NZ, his family go there, he was doing the welcome up on stage and like pointed me out and told everyone to go talk to me to hear a real NZ accent. But I left straight after, picked up Chloe from the train, we went to Taco bell (yum) and then hung out then went downtown and went to city church. Then after me chlo and chris got portillos then I went home.

Monday, which was yesterday, was martin luther king jr day so the kids were home then I went to a movie with Jim and two girls from school.

And today was Obamas inauguration, I watched it with Julie and it was way cool. I just realised how cool it is that im in Chicago the year History was made. cool beans huh.

Gen left today so im going into mourning. all i can think about is that james blunt song, goodbye my lover, goodbye my friend, you have been the one, you have been the one for me…

On Friday morning we got up at 4.30am to catch a flight, we flew straight to San Antonio and Steph picked us up then dropped our stuff at her place and then headed downtown and went to the alamo, and the river walk, ate some bad ribs, cooked steph a nz meal with lamb, kumara and veges and then went to this guy craigs place that night to hang out.

Saturday we got this man on the river to do a cartoon of me and gen, its so cool!!! and went on a wee cruise through the river and just hung out then matty and matt picked us up and we went to a couple of cool art shops/galleries and met this artist then got food and went to their place to cook dinner. they were the coolest guys ever, theyre in a band and basically are living the dream, they write songs and chill but they both have jobs, matts about to tarvel around the world by train and plane for two years. these guys were awesome, i miss them already!

sunday we went horse riding in bandera with their friend chris who is in a different band, hes really cool, we went to this ranch, had lunch then were supose to go on a one hour trail but the cowboy apparently fell in love with me and we rode for 3 hours instead, he offered me a job at the ranch over summer and stopped the trail so he could pick up a love heart shaped rock to give for me declaring it was a cowboys heart just for me. then we went fishing at chris’ friends house and i got 3 fish!!! i was the only one who caught anything so i guess i picked up some good skills from dad. then we went back to san antonio to matts place and hung out again, we wrote a song that night and im playing in it and its going on their album which is coming out sometime in the next couple of months so im so excited, ive always wanted to write a song so now i can tick it off the list!!!

monday we ate some good mexican food and just hung out coz we were flying back to chicago that night but we got to the airport and our flight was cancelled, chicago shut down all airports coz of a blizzard or something so matt picked us back up, we re booked and drove to his girlfriends house which was one and a half hours away and hung there for a bit then drove back and chilled all night. then in the morning we flew to houston then back to chicago to find no blizzard and clear blue skys!!!

today was -17 degrees with a wind chill of -23, tomorrows expected to be -28 so who knows what the flippin wind chill will be.

im home in 10 weeks!!!

i started class again today, it was cool. i love it!
